The AFC 2026 conference came to a close on 3 July 2026.

We would like to extend our warmest thanks to everyone who played a part in this conference: all the members of the organising committee, the student volunteers (go Blues!), the scientific committee, the exhibitors, the sponsors and the institutional partners for their support, the team at Lilliad for their assistance, VertCom, our conference organiser, the speakers and all the participants for the quality of the discussions throughout the event. We are delighted to have hosted this edition of the AFC conference, both from a scientific and a personal perspective.

We would also like to thank the caterer Lecocq for the varied meals and refreshments, L’Echappée Bière for the tasting session on Tuesday evening, Friterie Frénoi and its famous « frites-fricadelle », the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Lille for hosting our public lecture, the restaurant at the Couvent des Minimes for the gala dinner on Thursday evening, and the Moulins d’Ascq brasserie for the special AFC beer. All these convivial moments also contributed to the success of the 2026 event!
